The Q-SYS NS Series offers a range of enterprise-grade, Dell-manufactured network switches that have been pre-configured specially to meet the performance requirements of the Q-SYS Ecosystem, as well as network AV technologies including AES67 and Dante. With a primary focus on Q-SYS audio, video & control (AV&C), these network switches provide an out-of-the-box, plug-and-play solution for Q-SYS integrators building stand-alone AV networks.
The network switch will provide twenty-four 10/100/1000 Mbps half / full duplex ports on RJ45 connections. Twelve of the 10/100/1000 Mbps ports also provide IEEE 802.at compliant PoE + with a total power budget of up to 190 watts. Additionally, the switch will offer four 10Gbps SFP / SFP + ports.
The switch must be fully managed at Layer 2 (non-blocking) and preconfigured with the appropriate quality of service (QoS) for use with Q-SYS Q-LAN audio, video and control networks, as well as AV technologies from related networks, including AES67 and Dante. It will provide IGMP snooping and IGMP queries for network video and audio multicast traffic.
The network switch must have an internal 250 watt power supply with a rear panel IEC power input socket for 120-240 VAC. The operating temperature range should be 32 ° F to 113 ° F (0 ° C to 45 ° C) with a maximum operating humidity of 95% and a maximum thermal output of 852 BTU / hr.
The network switch must meet UL / cUL / CSA / CE / EAC / GS safety requirements and meet CE and FCC Class A emission limits. The device must comply with RoHS, WEEE, and REACH.
The 1U full-width chassis will be constructed of cold-rolled steel and molded plastic. Network switch dimensions must be 1.75 x 17 x 10 (44mm x 432mm x 254mm) and standard 19 1U rack-mount hardware must be included.
The network switch will be the QSC Q-SYS NS-1124P network switch.
