Shure CU 5905
The CU 5905 is the controller of the system in the digital debate system DDS 5900. To control and provide power to the president / delegate / interpreter units while being able to operate with 250 units. All units are connected to the DCS-LAN network in chains using CAT 5e standard (or higher) F / UTP or U / FTP cable. TOTALLY DIGITAL AUDIO TRANSMISSION The CU presents a transmission of the channel’s audio as well as of the two fully digital interpretation channels. Up to 8 conference microphones. They can also be assigned to four groups using an integrated group matrix. We also offer an analog audio input and four analog audio outputs. The four analog audio outputs are used for audio distribution of the four groups of units, the room channel or one of the two translation channels. This is used for connection to external communication systems. ADJUSTING THE CONNECTIONS The connection for emergency input (EEM) is available using analog input 2 with the contact closure switch. When active, the channel 2 signal will be output from the speakers and headphones. The menu on the front allows the user to adapt to the system, such as the maximum number of speakers / requests, the microphone operation mode, the IP address, etc. All system settings as well as microphone control are available in a web browser-like interface that is offered through TCP / IP
The cu 5905 is the brain of the DDS 5900 system. It feeds on up to 60 Discussion Units, and can control up to 250 units. All units are connected to the dcs-lan in daisy chains using F / UTP or u / FTP shielded Cat 5e (or higher) cables. The cu Features a completely digital audio floor transmission channel, as well as two interpretation channels. Up to 8 conference microphones can be opened at the same time, which can also be assigned to four groups using an integrated Matrix group. It also provides an analog audio input and four analog audio outputs. The four analog audio outputs are used for the audio distribution of the four groups of units, the floor channel or one of the two interpreter channels. This is used for connection to PA systems, external for recording or for connection to a wireless language distribution. Emergency input connection (EEM) is available with analog audio in 2 in combination with the Switch contact closure. When the analog audio signal is activated at 2, it will be available on the speakers and headphones. The menu on the front allows the user the basic configuration System settings as maximum number of speaker requests /, microphone operation mode, IP address, etc. They are available in a web browser Control interface of all system settings, as well as microphone that also allows for external control of Communication over TCP / IP over Ethernet.
