The IF-DA2 is a Dante interface card for TASCAM’s Solid State Recorders. Connection with 2 inputs and 2 outputs by mounting the IF-DA2 to the SS-R250N/SS-CDR250N for a Dante system. 2 IN / 2 OUT Dante interface card for the SS-R250N/SS-CDR250N.
Dante is a protocol developed by Audionate that delivers multi-channel (512ch IN/512ch OUT) and enables clock sync with high accuracy via network with gigabit Ethernet standard.

Checking the IF-DA2 Dante firmware version
1. When Dante Controller is launched, the screen shown below will open.
The device name will appear if the computer and the Dante
device are connected properly.
To check the version of a device, double-click its name.
2. Click the Status tab.
The version number is shown below framed in red ( ).
Updating is not necessary if the number shown here is the
same or newer than the firmware version you intend to use
for the update.
1. Download the latest firmware from the TEAC Global Site
(http://teac-global.com/).
If the downloaded file is in ZIP format or another compressed file type, decompress it.
2. After downloading and decompressing the latest Dante update file (IF-DA2_full_Vx.xx.dnt), copy it to any directory.
(For example, copy it to the desktop.)
The “Vx.xx” in the file name is the version number. Confirm that it matches the latest version number.
3. Confirm that the power is in standby for the SS-CDR250N/
SS-R250N that has the IF-DA2 installed.
4. Use a LAN cable to connect the computer Ethernet port and
the IF-DA2 connector.
5. Turn on the SS-CDR250N/SS-R250N that has the IF-DA2 installed.
