Standard units are analog line input/output format of ne4400 (4×4), ne4800 (4×8), and ne8800 (8×8) with four option bays supporting network audio, AES3, and mic input options. The DSP signal processing library is extensive and utilizes multiple SHARC 32-bit processors with sample rates of either 48KHz or 96KHz.

Processing blocks include either a 4×4, 4×8 or 8×8 matrix mixer, a full array of graphic, parametric and all pass equalization, crossover filters including 8th-order Butterworth, Bessel, Linkwitz-Riley and notched Linkwitz-Riley.

The Protea™ Software Suite also includes an extremely advanced automatic feedback suppressor, gain sharing automatic microphone mixing, ambient noise sensing and level adjustment, autolevelers, compressors, matrix duckers, limiters, frequency-keyed noise gates, signal delay up to 1,365ms on every channel and your choice of sinewave, pink or white noise generators.

All programming is accomplished using standard 10/100 Ethernet or RS-232 protocol and Protea ne Software on a PC platform. Hot-plug software control allows you to plug any function into any channel block even when running live audio with recompiling necessary. Automatic DHCP network IP configuration reduces network set up time. Multi-level software security with password access assures you a tamper-proof audio system.

he Ashly ne Series DSP processors are designed for optimum flexibility and ease-of-use in a range of professional and commercial applications. The ne Series is available in three versions: the ne4400 (4 in x 4 out), the ne 4800 (4 in x 8 out) & ne 8800 (8 in x 8 out). Rear module slots can accommodate a choice of available factory-installed options, including: 4-channel input mic preamps, 4-channel AES/EBU, Cobra Net & Dante Network audio cards.

The Protea software platform (for Windows™) provides the power & flexibility needed to achieve the most demanding project requirements, yet is extremely intuitive and easy to use, even for those with little experience working with DSP. The Protea™ DSP suite offers a complete user-selectable menu of DSP, where any of up to 12 functions per input & output channel may be populated as needed, in virtually any order! These functions include: Gain, Remote Gain, Gate, Leveler, Compressor, Clip Limiter, 31-band GEQ, 10-band PEQ, Feedback Suppressor, Signal Generator, Ambient Noise Compensation, X-Over, FIR Filters, Auto-Mixing, Ducking and more….. You can even load speaker voice file presets (available in the DOWNLOADS section) directly into each output channel for optimized performance when incorporating Ashly speakers.

The ne Series hardware may also be custom built to suit your specific needs-include mic pre-amp cards for different applications-perhaps only a single 4-channel card is needed for a small conference room or retail store with paging requirements, or add more for larger conferences, schools or HoW where more mics will be used. Make the ne Series compatible with your digital ecosystem by adding AES/EBU, Cobra Net or Dante cards.

Remote control? No problem. The ne provides several remote options, from conventional, serial and networked in-wall remotes to fader controllers plus a healthy compliment of logic I/O. It even allows creating custom iPad-compatible remote templates to suit any venue (Ashly Remote app downloadable for free from the Apple App Store).
