Balder CinemaScope fuses the world’s best optical components with imaging device technology of choice for 8 out of 10 professional cinemas, DLP, our exclusive PULSE electronic platform, and in-house designed laser engine.

Professional quality optical components

The image quality of the Balder system is unsurpassed thanks to its CinemaScope optical engine, which is based on the architecture, custom-designed spherical glass elements, and the improved low-dispersion glass lenses of its big brother, the Loki CinemaScope. In addition, the structure and interior of the Balder CinemaScope are made of aluminum: 37 kg of true quality. The result is the best image ever achieved with a system at this level.

State-of-the-art electronic components

All new Pulse electronics have been designed to process 4K with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 and the optical engine is using the latest 0.9 “DMD DLP chipset, capable of reproducing 5,120 x 2,160 pixels on screen.

Cinemascope

Balder CinemaScope has a unique automatic aspect ratio detection function. It will search for content in CinemaScope and automatically enlarge the image to fit 5,120 x 2,160 resolution, and of course switch back to 16: 9 (3,840 x 2,160) if you have content in that format. The aspect ratio will also change when a CinemaScope movie has a menu outside the active picture frame. Optionally, you can manually switch between the different formats.

Liquid cooling

Balder CinemaScope goes from a fan-only cooling system to a liquid-cooled PID regulation system, allowing it to operate at any angle.
