QSC NS-1108P

The Q-SYS NS series offers a range of enterprise-grade Dell-manufactured network switches that have been specially preconfigured to meet the performance requirements of the Q-SYS ecosystem, as well as network AV technologies, including AES67 and Dante. With a primary focus on Q-SYS audio, video and control (AV&C), these network switches provide a turnkey solution for Q-SYS integrators creating local AV networks.

Rapid deployment with a plug-and-play solution: Q-SYS NS series network switches are specifically preconfigured to meet the performance requirements of Q-SYS audio, video and control (AV&C) systems, which saves integrators an enormous amount of time to install local AV networks.

AV Infrastructure for Today’s Modern AV Ecosystem – QSC has paired rock solid Dell EMC network switches with finely tuned switch configurations created by the Q-SYS product development team. They were then independently tested by the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Labs (UNH-IOL) for optimal performance with their Q-SYS network protocol test suite to ensure compatibility with the entire Q-SYS ecosystem. .

Future Proof Solution: The Q-SYS NS series has also become the benchmark for future Q-SYS audio and video peripheral products, ensuring that this investment in your AV infrastructure will support the expansion and evolution of your Q system -SYS for years to come.

Flexible Network Scenarios – Q-SYS NS Series network switches support Q-LAN, AES67, and Dante audio streaming as well as Q-LAN video streaming and distribution, simultaneously within the same VLAN without having to manually configure or adapt the QoS configuration on endpoint devices or switches.

Smart management and convenient connection options: These switches automatically manage any multicast traffic on your network, which may be common with networked audio and video distribution systems. They also provide a number of PoE + compliant ports for the convenient connection of networked AV peripherals.

Reduce Support Requirements – This investment in your AV ecosystem will decrease the need to engage with IT technical support, saving you the time, cost, and frustration associated with troubleshooting untested network switche

The network switch will provide eight 10/100/1000 Mbps half / full duplex ports plus two GbE on RJ45 connections. Four of the 10/100/1000 Mbps ports also provide IEEE 802.at compliant PoE + with a total power budget of up to 75 watts. Additionally, the switch will offer two 10Gbps SFP ports.

The switch must be fully managed at Layer 2 (non-blocking) and preconfigured with the appropriate quality of service (QoS) for use with Q-SYS Q-LAN audio, video and control networks, as well as AV technologies from related networks, including AES67 and Dante. It will provide IGMP snooping and IGMP queries for network video and audio multicast traffic.

The network switch must have an internal 104 watt power supply with a rear panel IEC power input socket for 120-240 VAC. The operating temperature range should be 32 ° F to 113 ° F (0 ° C to 45 ° C) with a maximum operating humidity of 95% and a maximum thermal output of 293 BTU / hr.

The network switch must meet UL / cUL / CSA / CE / EAC / GS safety requirements and meet CE and FCC Class A emission limits. The device must comply with RoHS, WEEE, and REACH.

The 1U half-width chassis will be constructed of cold rolled steel and molded plastic. Network switch dimensions should be 1.75 x 8.5 x 10 (44mm x 216mm x 254mm) and standard 19 1U rack-mount hardware should be included.
