QSC SL-QUD
QSC SL-QUD Q-SYS UCI Editor
Create custom graphical user interfaces (ICUs) on the Q-SYS platform. Design something very simple and focused on automation, or create complex monitoring screens to make adjustments and solve problems. This tool is intended for system designers who need to create the ideal user experience or IT administrators who need to make minor changes or add additional features to ICU designs.
Characteristic
- No programming experience required: Build robust UCI screens by simply dragging any DSP or control element from the Q-SYS schematic into the UCI Editor.
- Advanced visual style: Create buttons with custom graphics for active/inactive/pressed states (QDS v. 7 and higher); use page transitions and screen pops; import custom backgrounds and company logos (in graphic formats, including .png, .jpg, .svf, and .gif) and much more.
- Hassle-free deployment: Whether it’s a single ICU or hundreds of ICUs throughout the enterprise facility, installing ICUs on native Q-SYS touchscreens will always be simple and one-button operation.
Q-SYS Feature Licensing Information
Advanced visual style: Create buttons with custom graphics for active/inactive/pressed states (QDS v. 7 and higher); use page transitions and screen pops; import custom backgrounds and company logos (in graphic formats, including .png, .jpg, .svf, and .gif); add PIN protection to the ICU as an additional security measure and much more.
Question: How do I install the QSC feature license?
Answer: See “Activating Software Licenses in Q-SYS”. You will learn simple online and offline activation methods.
Question: Where is the license installed?
Answer: These control features are perpetual licenses tied to the Q-SYS Core processor node.
Question: When will feature licenses be available? What version of Q-SYS Designer software will they be implemented in?
Answer: They will be available on NEW systems with Q-SYS Designer v. 7.0 or higher, released on February 26, 2018.
Question: If I upgrade a Core110f or Core 510i processor that was released before the release of QDS v. 7.0, do I need to purchase a license for the control features?
Answer: No. Current Core110f and Core 510i processors will have the ability to use the new control features without requiring a feature license. Simply install Q-SYS Designer software version 7.0 or higher and you will not be required to purchase or install feature licenses.
Question: As an integrator, do I need a license to work on my designs in emulation mode?
Answer: Of course not! One of the most applauded features of Q-SYS for designers is the ability to design and test in emulation mode before saving your design to the Core. You only need a license when you want to save your design to the Core.
Question: What happens if I don’t use any of those features? Do I still have to buy and activate a license?
Answer: No. If you do not intend to use the new control features, you do not need a license.
Question: If I use redundant Cores that use licensed features, do I have to purchase and install a license on each Core?
Answer: Yes.
Question: If I want to install these new control features on larger Enterprise processors, do I need those software licenses?
Answer: No, current Enterprise processors (Core 1100, 3100, 5200) do not require feature licenses to install UCIs, custom scripts, or plug-ins. You just need to update them to Q-SYS Designer software v. 7.0 and you will have access to those features automatically.
