The FS40-WU MKII is Barco’s latest projector that is truly robust and simulation ready. Combining LED lighting technology with Barco Pulse’s electronic performance, the FS40 offers visual excellence and extreme reliability at a low total cost of ownership. Designed for simulation applications, the FS40 features a unique IR and RGB light source, allowing individual control of visible light and IR intensity to simulate day and night training scenarios. Dual iris and optical filters ensure optimal contrast and deeper black levels for best-in-class image clarity. Designed for even the most demanding simulation environments, the FS40 reproduces images you can trust.

Extreme reliability in any situation

Using the latest LED lighting, the FS40 produces high-brightness images with optimal clarity and color gamut. Powered by Barco Pulse’s Single Pass Processing (SSP ® ) technology, the FS40 WUXGA benefits from built-in dimming and mixing, as well as smooth images up to a frame rate of 240 Hz.

The Barco FS40 is a truly robust projector designed for motion platforms with no moving parts. It is rock solid designed for shock and vibration. Its magnesium alloy base plate acts as a mounting plate. Adding to this a series of mounting points on the front and on the top of the package, the result is a robust projector perfectly suited for use on moving platforms in any orientation.

Minimum total cost of ownership

The FS40 uses a sealed optical engine with proven DLP ® technology and features the most advanced solid-state LED lighting. Simulator operators will undoubtedly benefit from the low total cost of ownership with extended maintenance cycles and no lamp replacements or color adjustment for up to 50,000 hours of operation. Barco’s Constant Light Output (CLO) functionality ensures predictability in linear brightness performance over the life of the projector. Additional protection is achieved when the new high-efficiency smart air filters are used for installations in dusty and harsh environments.
