Never has a single instrument captured the signature sound, unique playing experience, and aesthetic satisfaction of so many must-have keyboards like the KORG SV-2 Stage Vintage.
Ten years ago, KORG launched the highly acclaimed Stage Vintage line. The combination of an intuitive live panel, premium keyboard, the ultimate recreation of coveted vintage sounds, the clarity of world-class pianos, the warmth and character of effects appropriate for instruments of the time, and the distinctively smooth shape has inspired musicians around the world for more than a decade. Available with either 88 keys or 73 keys, these SV-2 models are the latest additions to the Stage Vintage series, with more of everything that makes an SV great. More Sounds. More Memory. More Polyphony. More Presets. More Control. It’s literally everything one could wish for in a performance stage piano … and more. Also, be sure to take a look at the SV-2S models,
The SV-2 contains more than ten times the sample data available on previous SV models, providing ample memory for many totally new keyboard and piano sounds. The SV-2 features 72 excellent sounds, and provides 64 memory locations to store edited Favorites, for instant access during your performance. Using the SV-2 Editor software, users can now create their own layered and split programs and save them to one of the Favorites locations. In fact, a single Favorite can access up to three timbres at once – a piano / bass split with a layer of strings, for example. Although user splits must be created using the SV-2 Editor, the split point on the keyboard can be set directly from the front panel. What’s more,
The SV-2 represents the pinnacle of careful instrument design and audio sampling techniques, offering the most demanding and accurate performance of so many keyboard classics. Using only the best-maintained instruments and the latest multi-microphone methods, every sound has been captured as accurately as possible. The attack of the spike, the release of the hammer, the click of the contacts, each element is surprisingly preserved in the RX layer; mix as much as you need of these authentic artifacts. In addition, the full dynamic range of each instrument has been faithfully preserved, recreating all the volume and timbral changes generated from a touch dpi (pianississimo) to fff (fortississimo) and all intermediate values.
Experience a treasure trove of classical, electromechanical, solid-state, tape-based, analog, and digital keyboard instruments, all reproduced with stunning realism. These soni-dos defined decades of popular music, and are now, once again, in high demand. The SV-2 puts all of these coveted sounds at your fingertips, in perfect tune and in perfect playing condition, with no maintenance required. It’s all here. Electric pianos now include almost all American pick and reed models, a large Japanese electric, as well as a rare German electric piano. And then we have all those clavis, created using a wide range of settings. Do you prefer electronic pianos? There are analog, digital, VPM, FM, and sampled versions, including the ever-popular KORG M1 piano. Looking for organs? Select from classic tone wheels; Combo VOX, Italian to transistors, or American tube organs; and now church and cate-dral organs. Do you need strings? Choose from a ’70s analog string unit, tape deck strings, or a warm orchestral section. In addition, the SV-2 contains vibraphones and other mallet instruments, brass and chorus sounds, guitar and bass sounds, even lead synths and pads that are ideal for layering or useful splits.
