Shure MX393/C
Shure MX393/C Microflex Boundary Microphone
The MX393 from Shure is a surface-mounted, electret condenser microphone. It is designed to be mounted on conference tables, stage floors, and lecterns. Its high sensitivity and wide frequency range makes it especially suitable for picking up speech and vocals in sound reinforcement and recording applications. Interchangeable cartridges provide the installer with greater flexibility and make it possible to easily reconfigure microphone coverage as the need arises. A removable microphone cable and an internal preamplifier are included.
MX393 series microphones take advantage of the principle that, at a barrier or boundary, the sound pressure level doubles. When placed near a sufficiently large boundary surface, the microphone has 6 dB higher sensitivity and approximately 3 dB greater direct-to-reverberant sound ratio.
There have never been more intelligent boundary microphones than Shure’s Microflex series. With a variety of models to choose from, equipped with features such as silent, programmable membrane switches, logic inputs and outputs, and pilot light, Microflex boundary microphones are the high-quality solution for a wide range of applications, such as temples, meeting rooms and distance learning centers.
Each of these Microflex boundary mics features one of the new interchangeable condenser capsules. Available in cardioid, supercardioid and omni polar patterns, Microflex capsules offer options for any type of setup, with Shure’s excellent sound quality. In addition, its programmable switch offers the flexibility of being able to configure it in “push to talk”, “push to override” or “push to activate / push to deactivate” modes. With an attractive, unobtrusive design and a totally professional look, Microflex boundary mics come with an easy-to-apply colored sticker for use in your custom-colored facility.
