Yamaha DXR15MKII
Yamaha DXR15MKII 2-way powered loudspeaker
Since its inception, the DXR Series has long represented a blend of power and technological innovation that impressively harnesses and delivers high performance with superior clarity and quality. The DXR mkII series powered loudspeakers are the enhanced models in the series that add even more SPL and feature a larger, yet much lighter 1.75 ”HF neodymium compression driver that reproduces voice with extreme clarity and musicality. Once again, our team worked closely with NEXO, touring speaker specialists, adding knowledge and experience that led to design improvements based on the ever-evolving demands of sound professionals.
Enhanced Custom Design Drivers: All DXR mkII series drivers have been meticulously selected and fully customized for maximum performance. High-power output woofers deliver very low distortion and deep defined bass, while newer, larger but lighter rigs with 1.75 «neodymium HF precision compression drivers produce accurate mid and high frequencies up to 20 kHz with less weight.
Wide dispersion constant directivity horn: The larger high-frequency transducer is mounted on a completely new 90 ° x 60 ° constant directivity horn, designed with the aim of minimizing the deterioration of the radiation pattern in oblique directions, since more conventional speakers are prone to this. This can help achieve a more ideal coverage area with no irregularities. With the new wide dispersion constant directivity horn, the sound is expanded into a more rectangular pattern providing 90 ° horizontal x 60 ° vertical coverage, with wide frequency sound projected towards the edges of the coverage area.
Whether for stationary applications or live mobile presentations, whatever sound you want to achieve, the DXR mkII Series meets the demands, combining power with our own advanced patented DSP features that deliver the reliability and clarity you have come to expect from the DXR series. … but even MORE.
The DXR15mkII achieves a class-leading sound pressure level (SPL) of a maximum of 134 dB and full-bandwidth performance by combining a powerful Class D amplifier with a high-power woofer and Yamaha’s cutting-edge technologies. Adding some D-CONTOUR makes it feel like you’re using a subwoofer.
